NSF CAMP is a National Science Foundation (NSF), California Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) program. CAMP at UC Davis aims to recruit and retain students in STEM majors, facilitate their academic success, and encourage their transition to graduate study. Scholars actively participate in research during the summer and throughout the academic year.
Audrey joined the Sinha lab in January 2019 under the direct mentorship of Aaron Leichty. She is a fourth year student pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences. Audrey is working to improve tissue culture and transformation in Acacia, and is examining the role of miR156 in controlling heteroblasty in this genus.
